BUSINESS SEMINAR FOR THE STEELPAN
COMMUNITY
As part of its continuing effort to educate and
provide artists with critical insight to impact their careers and aid
success in the entertainment arena, Basement Recordings will host a
Seminar this Sunday November 24, 2002 from 2 PM to 5 PM.
The Do's, Don'ts and 'Don't even think about its! -
will be discussed. Discover strategies, tips and secrets; the
marketing and publicizing of Steelpan music and the steelpan
musicians - - Everything You Needed to Know Yesterday -
Missed Opportunities.
The seminar is geared to introducing managers and
other key personnel in Steel orchestras, to ways of promoting and
cultivating mutually beneficial business associations with music
industry enterprises. Additional topics will include introductions to
a) Creative Financing; b) Marketing and Promotions and; c) The
importance and exploitation of the Internet as a promotional and
marketing tool.
